Dear Colleagues,

The second ArmChemFront conference, "Frontiers in Chemistry, Armenia 2018" took place from October 21-25 2018 in Yerevan, Armenia, organized jointly between the University of Groningen, the Netherlands, and Yerevan State University, Armenia.

Featuring a broad range of topics within the field of chemistry, renowned plenary and keynote speakers presented overviews of recent developments, and the scientific program was complemented by contributed lectures and poster presentations. The main aims of the meeting included invigorating research in the region, allowing young chemists to interact with world-class researchers, and to provide a platform to exchange new ideas and to discuss recent developments in diverse aspects of chemistry

Mountainous landscapes with fast-flowing rivers form a stunning backdrop for the ancient history and cultural heritage of Armenia, With a history extending over 2800 years, Armenia was the first state to adopt Christianity as its official religion at the beginning of the 4th century. The social and cultural program of the conference served as a way to introduce conference participants from all over the world to this rich heritage.
